How to Make Pancakes

I wake up on a Sunday morning and think: “What will I have for breakfast….?” All of a sudden I have the best idea in the world!!! I am going to make PANCAKES. Ohhhh I do love my pancakes, with their fluffiness…. And their hot melted chocolate chips… I am going to have a feast this morning. Making amazing pancakes is not as easy as some may think, it actually has many components and you really need to make sure you don’t burn them at all otherwise they will be RUINED!!! Pancakes have a visual component as well… You must make sure that you plate them in a perfect shape otherwise they will not be appealing.

1. My pancakes have quite a few ingredients. Those many ingredients are…

1 egg 1 c. low fat milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 c. all purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt

Measure

2. Along with the many ingredients there are some key instructions to making these pancakes perfect. You have to…Beat the egg, the milk and the vanilla together. Then you have to combine the remaining ingredients and stir them into the batter, until they are somewhat smooth, but slightly lumpy. DO NOT over mix. First you must heat the griddle, and then you test the temperature of the griddle by flinging a small amount of water onto it. You then must make a small experimental pancake to make sure that your griddle is ready to be used. When you are finally ready to actually start making them; you must pour a little of the batter with a ladle/spoon onto a hot griddle. Leave at least 2" of space between pancakes. Then you have to let them cook until the tops of pancakes are slightly bubbly, then flip them with a spatula. Cook them just until the underside is lightly browned.
3. Also you mustn’t forget about the presentation of your pancakes. They absolutely MUST be perfectly crispy and brown. In addition to that they have to be shaped perfectly according to the plate like if you have a

I crack open the two eggs and pour them in the bowl, throwing away the shells. I measure 1/4 cup of water and pour it in the mixture as well as 2/3's of a cup of oil. The hardest part is blending it in really well; I take two minutes really mixing in the ingredients, making sure everything is well mixed in and is on the right condition, not too creamy, but not too hard. Once I am done with that, I grab a couple of Oreos and start breaking them into pieces and putting them in the plastic bag. I start hitting the Oreos, cracking them into smaller pieces and then pouring that into the brownie mixture.…

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Butter and flour an 8inch square pan. In a mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat the eggs at medium speed until fluffy and light yellow. Add both sugars. Add remaining ingredients, and mix to combine. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 8inch square pan and bake for 45 minutes. Check for doneness with the triedandtrue toothpick method: a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan should come out clean. When it's done, remove to a rack to cool. To make either breakfast treat, one needs to use the proper cookingware. A griddle or hot frying pan cooks pancakes, and waffles require a waffle iron. Although, both have advantages and disadvantages, waffle irons epitomizes simplicity and convenience because it only requires a person to plug it in, butter it up, pour the batter, close the lid, and then voila a perfect waffle appears. A griddle or frying pan, however, requires expert skill and time to utilize safely and effectively. Additionally, cooking pancakes requires more luck to get the perfect shape, and for it to not look ugly. Waffles, on the other hand, come with a predetermined size, based on the waffle iron, and easily produces a uniform shape. One day, if two friends decide to breakfast together, a fight would ensue over who would get the bigger and prettier pancake, but with waffles both friends will enjoy an easy-going and relaxing morning. One of the most important aspects of both foods is toppings, especially syrup! Unfortunately, the syrup simply dribbles down pancakes turning them into a disastrous, soggy mess. On the other hand, the waffle’s exceptional grid-like structure captures the syrup in its pockets, thus giving the diner a mess-free and sensational meal of delectable waffles. An easy, laid back, and delicious meal remains the dream for everyone, and waffles render as the go-to food for the people who want that…

A false assumption is that people go into cardiac arrest because of a heart attack. Most sudden cardiac arrests are due to abnormal impulses in the heart. These impulses can be corrected if caught fast enough. Failure to act quickly can lead to unnecessary death. Effective bystander CPR can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival, but only 32% of cardiac arrest victims get CPR from a bystander. Sadly, less than 8% of people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital survive. I have witnessed one of these 8% miracles. I am a paramedic and responded to the scene of a “nonbreather.” This means someone is not breathing. Upon our arrival, I found a female patient laying on the ground unconscious and not breathing. However, her husband was performing CPR. We…
