MacBook VS Dell Inspiron

Why MacBook is better than Dell Notebook? There's a lot of rumors said that MacBook is better because they are expensive compare to Dell Inspiron notebook.Actually, its not like that. Basically, it's depends on the buyers because MacBook and Dell Inspiron notebook are designed for different function and purposes. It has a lot of different from many aspects such as graphic, processor, application, security measurement, price, physical appearance, and specific target consumers.

The MacBook is a brand of Macintosh notebook computers built by Apple Inc. And it is first introduced in May 2006, it replaced the iBook and 12-inch Power Book series of notebooks as a part of the Apple Intel transition. The Dell Inspiron is a brand of Dell Inc. which is a multinational information technology corporation based in Round Rock, Texas, United States, that develops, sells and supports computers and related products and services.

The MacBook’s graphic and processor are Intel Core Duo processor and 945GM chipset, with Intel's GMA 950 integrated graphics on a 667 MHz front side bus. This is the old MacBook. On the other hand, the freshly-redesigned Inspiron 14 has the features consumer use every day, weighs less than 5 lbs and has the quality you’ve come to expect from Dell. The Dell Inspiron notebook’s graphic and processor are Intel Core i3 processor and ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 530v - 512MB for the graphic. This is truly better than the previous version of MacBook but the latest revisions of the MacBook were upgraded with the more powerful Nvidia GeForce 9400M.

MacBook and Dell Inspiron notebook have different type of operating systems. This can be explained where MacBook uses the operating system OS X while Dell Inspiron Notebook uses operating system Windows. I have two different experiences with the Dell Company as I have two products from Dell one is a basic laptop with a good configuration and the other high end gaming laptop Alienware. The technical support and the other customer support for both the product varies more though they are from same company. The Alienware form Dell is costly when compared to its Dell basic version laptops. The technical service for Alienware met the exceeding expectations whereas the service for normal laptops is just met the expectations the difference I found was the wait time is very high whenever I call for technical assistance for my basic laptop other hand the same company provides good quality service for its high end gaming laptops. Overall I still wanted to go with Dell products as they have long…

One reason a Mac is often chosen over a PC is because of the price difference. Many people that set out to buy a brand new laptop want good quality. Good quality is often misinterpreted for a high price. While high price does not mean good quality, more than likely consumers that invest a decent amount of money into their laptops get what they have paid for. A Macbook generally is priced around $995 to $999. It is often called the $1,000 dollar laptop. Apple recently updated the Macbooks by adding more memory, redesigning the outside, and making it have a larger screen while keeping the price the same and at the $999. Getting an update without upping the price has got many consumers attentions and there is a hope that consumers truly are getting what they pay for.…

The processor and the price of $699.99 would be enough for me to go for the Pavilion over the MacBook’s slow outdated processor and steep price of $899.99. Just incase that’s not convincing enough the HP Pavilion has 8GB of SDRAM. That means the Pavilion offers 6GB more RAM than the MacBook Air, Reducing the number of times the CPU must read data from the hard disk of the Pavilion making it much faster. Not only is the RAM much higher, but the Pavilion has a Hard…

Everyone knows of the popular household names Apple and Microsoft. Apple was started by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. They created the first Apple computer in Jobs’ parents garage in the 1970’s. They knew that they had created something great so they called their company Apple. Bill Gates on the other hand created Microsoft. He never made a computer; what he did was create software and put it on other computers. Allegedly, Bill Gates stole Apple’s Macintosh prototype software from Steve Jobs. Gates only received the prototypes because Jobs thought he could trust Gates, but he was sorely mistaken. These two popular household names are similar, but they have differences such as ability to customize, operating system, price, and virus protection.…

Mac computers are expensive and everyone knows that. What everybody doesn’t know is that in the long run they will inevitably save more money if they purchase one. With Boot Camp (which is free with any Mac) you can run any operating system simultaneously with Mac OS X, which basically gives you two computers for the price of one. Also if you were to buy a regular Macbook which starts at $1299 and took a Dell XPS M1330 and bought an upgraded battery to match that of the Macbook and also bought Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements which is the equivalent of iPhoto and iMovie applications which come free with iLife on any Macbook then the Dell would cost $1308 with all the upgrades to make it comparable to the Macbook. Also Macs aren’t targets of spyware and viruses to the degree of PC’s so you won’t have to spend money on maintenance and repair with Macs like you would a PC. (Common Myths)…

Ever been in a computer store and a guy in a nice dress coat with Khaki pants and leather Gucci shoes on, walk and just chuckles at you because you are looking at a Windows PC? Well, chances are that it was either a Mac user. "Mac user interviewed and self-admitted as filling cool, artsy, higher in the social society, and often harassed PC owners trying to get them to switch”. (Firmin 2) If one wants to get more value for their money then they will want to look at nothing else but PC. If one was to take the money that a Mac owner spent and upgrade a PC with the same amount, they would have a much better system than the Mac owner. Macs hardware is well built and appealing but is expensive. Most of their laptops have SATA hard drives which are fast but are short on memory and don't come with DVD players or HDMI ports and the batteries are not removable. PCs on the other hand plenty of design, specification, and price options. Hardware for PC runs from topnotch to trash, with the prices matching the quality.…

First of all, PCs have a better user interface. While Mac users have always boasted of having a computer with a clean, modern look, this changed with Windows Vista, released on January 30, 2007. Windows Vista has translucent window bars, a search bar on the start menu, and tabs on the bottom of the screen, as well as introducing a feature in which users can scroll through all open windows. To contrast, Macs require tedious dragging around of windows, making multitasking with several windows open a nightmare. Additionally, Macs have a detached toolbar that is attached to the top of the screen. Being detached has no functional purpose, constantly takes up space, and does not close when the program window is closed. A stereotype of Macs is that they are more user-friendly. However, starting with Vista, the search bar has allowed users to efficiently search for any desired file, and the sidebar was introduced (similar to widgets), which has “a number of functional and useful gadgets,” (Weisben). Windows 7 (released 2009) got rid of the unnecessary security pop-ups, as well as added a toolbar at the bottom with tabs, preventing the Mac system of dragging around windows. Windows 7 also added the feature that allows a user to make a window full or half screen by dragging it to the top or side of the screen. According to Mitchell Ashley, from networkworld.com, “Gone from Windows 7 are Vista's loads of unnecessary bloatware applications, confusing and poorly designed configuration dialog boxes, and moronic UAC popups that impeded a user's productivity at every turn.”…

When Michael Dell started Dell Computer in 1984, he believed that by selling personal computer systems directly to customers, his company could better understand customers' needs and provide the most effective computing solutions to meet those needs. During that period, competing computer makers experienced poor supply-chain management strategies that usually involved assembling in advance and sending to distribution centers around the world. In the technology industry this is relatively expensive because it involves inventoried items that have associated costs. Apple, for example, pre-built computers and notoriously held onto too much inventory as newer technologies were introduced and hardware costs decreased.…

middle of hundred others from a mile away. With their distinctive aluminum casing and signature logo Apple computers are in class of their own.
