Dell Mission and Vision and Code of Ethics
Dell company

Dell mission:. fully integrate environmental stewardship into the business of providing quality products, best-in-class services, and the best customer experience at the best value.
I think it’s a good mission because it talks about the actual position of dell and what its doing, not about future, and because it includes the customers and products and services, which is important to be included in a mission statement.

Dell vision: to Provide Accessible Computers to Visually-Impaired Veterans; Contract Provides a Standard Configuration for Visually-Impaired Veterans Nationwide.
I think the vision talks about the future that dell wants to be, which is to provide accessible computers all over nationwide.

Dell values:
Corporate Responsibility at Dell is about demonstrating through action our values of corporate citizenship. Through the integration of economic, social and environmental responsibility into everything we do -- and by ensuring diversity remains a Dell cornerstone so we have a workforce reflective of our customers, access to the best talent and ideas to innovate for our customers -- Dell can build the right relationships. These relationship can grow our business while taking responsibility for the impact of our actions on customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, communities and other stakeholders, as well as the environment.
Dell is committed to being a good neighbor in the communities we call home. We must continue to grow responsibly – protecting our natural resources and practicing sustainability in all its forms – and improve the communities where we live and work through our financial and volunteer efforts.
Dell has taken significant action. We’ve helped our neighbors in Dell communities around the world, raised the sustainability bar for businesses everywhere as the first major computer manufacture to commit to carbon neutrality, and our diversity efforts have a higher standard that put forth opportunities for

    Dell Code of Conduct

    • 6472 Words
    • 26 Pages

To the Global Dell Team: Dell's success is built on a foundation of personal and professional integrity. We hold ourselves to standards of ethical behavior that go well beyond legal minimums. We never compromise these standards and we will never ask any member of the Dell team to do so either. We owe this to our customers, suppliers, shareholders and other stakeholders. And we owe it to ourselves because success without integrity is essentially meaningless. Our higher standard is at the heart of what we know as The Soul of Dell – the statement of the values and beliefs which define our shared global culture. This culture of performance with integrity unites us as a company that understands and adheres to our company values and to the laws of the countries in which we do business. Just as The Soul of Dell articulates our values and beliefs, the following Code of Conduct provides guidance to ensure we meet our higher standard and conduct business the Dell Way - the right way; which is "Winning with Integrity." Simply put, we want all members of our team, our shareholders, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to understand that they can believe what we say and trust what we do. Our higher standard includes several key components and characteristics that both underpin The Soul of Dell and provide the foundation for our Code of Conduct. • Trust. Our word is good. We keep our commitments to each other and to our stakeholders. • Integrity. We do the right thing without compromise. We avoid even the appearance of impropriety. • Honesty. What we say is true and forthcoming – not just technically correct. We are open and transparent in our communications with each other and about business performance. • Judgment. We think before we act and consider the consequences of our actions. • Respect. We treat people with dignity and value their contributions. We maintain fairness in all relationships. • Courage. We speak up for what is…

With the last couple years Dell has been growing exponentially and is expecting to continuously grow. Taking a larger market share in the computer industry and being involved in the technological field, the first couple steps for Dell in 1997 are to invest in Research and Development. With such success, current competitors and new ones are going to see just how enticing the market is so Dell will need to constantly invest in R&D to keep their products defendable and desirable. Dell cannot afford to become complacent in the technology field so R&D is crucial in order to keep selling innovated products. Dell needs to constantly look into coming up with new and better products. That of course leads to more sales and a higher net income. The next step is to increase their economies of scale. With more cash and net income available to spend, Dell should look into decreasing their costs and achieving maximum efficiency. If they are able to create a competitive advantage in efficiency, they’d be able to gain much more parts of the market by selling cheaper and/or increasing profit margin. Dell is such a big company that they should take advantage of their size and look into more efficient ways for distribution and production.…
