Response to Letter 2

Dear No more confused or Used,

I admire your decision to refrain from any sexual activity until you are married; that way, you can avoid the many negative problems that are a result of it. The best way to tell your boyfriend that you want to be abstinent is upfront with no sugar-coating. By telling him directly how you feel, he should take you very seriously and respect your decision more than if he has to infer it from your implication; however, do not delve into the subject matter too quickly or else both of you will leave the conversation feeling awkward and confused. When things get romantic, there are other things to do than engage in sexual activity: you guys can watch a movie or do something else that will preoccupy and distract your mind. In order to control yourself, do not give in to your impulses and do something else in order to divert your attention; same with your boyfriend! Clarifying a point I made earlier, abstinence helps avoid negative and potentially life-threatening health issues: these issues include but are not limited to STI’s and emotional distress. If your boyfriend does not respect your decision to remain abstinent and consistently pressures you to have sex, then you know that it is time to leave him. A partner who truly loves and cares for you should respect your decision despite if he does not agree with it. I hope you and your boyfriend have a happy and continuous relationship.
Sincerely,
Pat

Have you ever left a container with some type of liquid in it and wondered how it could it evaporate so quickly? The evaporation of an unpredictable liquid is an endothermic process that results in a temperature decrease. The amount of temperature decrease is related to the strength of intermolecular forces of attraction. The rate of evaporation can be described as the change of temperature divided by the time it takes to reach the lowest temperature. ΔT/Δt (°C/s). In this experiment my group and I are investigating factors that determine the strength of intermolecular forces by determining the rate at which liquids evaporate. The different types of intermolecular forces are as follows, Ion dipole are the strongest forces, Dipole Dipole which are between polar molecules and both positive and negative ions attract to each other, dispersion are the weakest of all intermolecular forces, they also are formed by the shifting of electron clouds within molecules and hydrogen bonding which is attractive force between the hydrogen attached to an electronegative atom of one molecule and an electronegative atom…

    1. Lou Zar's action regarding to sewing a replica of the U.S. flag to cover the backside/seat of his uniform pants was not unconstitutional. There needs to be compelling reason to restrict Lou from wearing that uniform that caused negative emotion. It would be unconstitutional if the government restricted Zar from wearing his uniform without a compelling reason. The government cannot prove that Zar's intentions were to commit or threaten any act of violence through his speech. It is true that Zar's action caused other people to get angry at the message he was trying to send and caused violence against him. But, Zar had every right to express his message by wearing his uniform. Also, there was no evidence the people are provoked by the uniform…

At the surface, the letter Lord Chesterfield writes to his son appears to simply offer his son simple sound advice with the intention to help his son. It seems that he is trying to give his son this advice in a friendly manner as opposed to a father giving his son advice. However, upon closer analysis of what Chesterfield writes, one can see how he is actually subtly reminding his son of his obligations and duties. Using strategies such as understatements, diction, and rhetorical questions, Chesterfield subtly leaves reminders to his son that shows what Chesterfield holds as high values: obedience and reputation.…

Dear Principal Farley, I am writing to you to discuss me completing high school early. After putting a lot of work into my high school career I would like to start a new part of my life, a new chapter. It’s always been a goal of mine to succeed and graduate and for me, completing high school early would be an even bigger bonus. I have worked hard to receive all my credits and pass each class, even if I struggled and it would be a honor to complete high school early. You probably get many kids who want to graduate early for all the wrong reasons, but I am not one of them. It wouldn't be me relaxing everyday. After completing school I plan to work full time, at least 40 hours a week so I can save up for college. Books, classes, gas are things…

Have you ever suffered from hunger? Have you ever experienced severe poverty? Today I’m going to tell you about the miserable story of one child living in developing country. It is about the special letter I received from a child who I’ve been supporting. As you see, this letter is just a simple drawing of a flower. Just a flower with small leaves on it. The flower is colored with red crayon and the leaves are painted untidily with green. But there’s no more than a flower. The letter is mostly filled with white blank space, and a sheet of paper is worn out by the dirty thumbs of a child. You may think that there’s no special thing about this letter. However, this letter is a very meaningful object to me, because it taught me the realities of the difficulties and adversity of the poor, and really touched my heart.…
