Ddb Personal Statement
I want to be a supervisor for the DLB largely because my passion for the beach and leading a group of great individuals will blend together to create an enjoyable workplace with workers that care about their jobs.The beach creates an irresistible atmosphere and lasting bonds between lifeguards, as a supervisor one of my goals would be creating stronger relationships and a place where lifeguards no matter their position respect one another.
My personal beach philosophy is strongly based on two things. First, being community, DLB is located in a tight-knit community where word of mouth travels fast. Creating greater relationships with our guest, going above and beyond expectations and making a postive beach experience are just a few things we guards can do to create a positive reputation for DLB that would be known around Clarkston. In additions, to the community, professionalism is something I strongly believe in. Weather it’s on stand or in the hut were are always represent DLB, parks and rec and the town of Clarkston. A lifeguard has major responsibility in keeping guests happy and most importantly safe, our guest trusts us to watch over them while they are enjoying the lake. Me and some other classmates were in the group together. We all had little things task to complete to make the dance successful, as we split up my to do list grew rather fast as I kept volunteering to take on tasks. WIth the dance approaching rather fast, I became engulfed over my head with things to do. As the day of the dance came, Everyone had their tasks done, however, some of my tasks were half completed and not ready for the dance. What I learned from this was it is ok to ask for help and that teamwork sometimes is better as task can be completed with more efficiency and
