Over 5,000,000 people have fled Syria since a violent civil war broke out in 2011. Hundreds of thousands have not yet found a permanent place in which to resettle. Over the past four years, 10,000 Syrian refugees have been allowed into the United States and recently the Obama administration has pledged to accept thousands more Syrian refugees by the end of 2017.
I agree with President Obama to bring more refugees into the united states.I think it is safe.I also agree people are fighting for safety for their family and themselves , and being declined. I agree with President Obama’s policy on bringing in Syrian refugees because I think it is safe towards Americans. Only 3 out of 784,000 refugees taken into america since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, have been arrested for planning terrorist attacks.
”Every governor knows this is a country of immigrants.” (document 3) If this truly is a country of immigrants why are we so over obsessed about these threatened terrorist attacks? The amount of people that would be declined as a citizen of the united states would never be the same amount to the amount of people who would be harmed in one of these attacks.
