Davao Agricultural Ventures Corporation is engaged(DAVCO) in the production of fresh Del Monte gold pineapples under the Del Monte label for export to international markets such as Japan, Hongkong, Korea, Middle East and New Zealand. This company was incorporated on September 2, 1981 and is a joint venture between Del Monte Fresh Products International Incorporated and ANFLOCOR.

DAVCO is not only to established a name in the Philippines but also worldwide. With its pleasant affinities to produce good products and commodities as a primary input for production of world-class pineapple products as a focus, this gives me the hint to choose the corporation as my primary training ground for practice and self-development in my chosen field of academe. I strongly believe that by choosing DAVCO as a subject for my On-The-Job-Training will relatively contribute to my bank of knowledge and can broaden my employee skills and increase my productivity as a current Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering student and as an Agriculture Engineer in the near future. DAVCO has really portrays a big part of my learning since they assigned me at the Land Development Department specifically at the Land Preparation Section other than the Seed Management and Planting Section where my course is fully-fitted in.
The Land Development Department where I am assigned in is currently spare headed by Engr. Luis Santillan as the Department Manager, Enrico Sevencruz as the Department Supervisor, Arman Roque the Planting Supervisor and Lenerio Ariza as the Seed Management Supervisor.
