Successful advertisements that are both original and creative are hard to come by. Instead of trying to come up with an entire new advertisement, instead of going through the long creative process of making a new ad, we will be taking the Date Nite ad from Disney Land and repurposing it to fit the updated version of the park. The Date Nite advertisement will provide for an original and entertaining advertisement that would be a quirky update from Disney’s current line of advertisements. Although, the ad was successful for its time, however it is no longer the 1940’s and for this ad to survive past its completion, it will need a major face lift in order to be able to compete with modern day advertisement. Bold colors attract the eye far more than a grey scale advertisement ever would. With a bright red background, the advertisement will get the much needed pull me in. Then, when we adjust the drawings to a more modern animation, we will have compensated for the huge age gap between the time the ad was made and the time we want to use it for our new line. Rendering the animations to the depth and frequency that of modern Disney films, will not only give the advertisement the attention it needs, but catch it up to the current progress of the Disney parks. With these changes we will have transformed our advertisement from the lacking black and white newspaper advertisement, but to the bright and fun Times Square advertisement, that no one can take their eyes off of. The new animations will be floating around the boldly designed music notes, that are gracefully sashaying across the whole advertisement. A different age group of couples will be riding in each of the redesigned Disney park rides, that are dancing on the music notes. The couples will ride in succession with gleaming smiles plastered onto their faces. Although, the rides in the ad will represent the rides that Disney currently offers, but they with be even more vibrant and colorful than in real

    The advertisement has a very good focal point. When first viewing the advertisement, you are immediately drawn to the photo of the man standing on top of the skyscraper. This photo supports the key message of the ad: that your business can stand out in Rancho Cucamonga. The ad is mostly readable. The color scheme of the ad provides good contrast between the text and the background. For example, the lavender text of the message of the ad can be easily seen on the blue background of the photo.     In this essay I will discuss the similarities and differences of two holiday adverts; one for Blackpool and the other for Ibiza. Firstly I will discuss the layout of the adverts.
