Cross-Functional Team Trust Analysis
Trust can almost be a major issue in any human resource role brcause of the consequences that trust holds. Trust with this sort of cross-functional team is very important because each function of the team depends on each other. Trust involves a cognitive leap beyond the expectations that reason and experience alone would warrant (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2013). Trust in a cross-functional team can be viewed as a marriage in that one party has to be able to rely on thr other without a second thought. To build trust among cross-functional team members who bring a diverse array of backgrounds and perspectives to the table the team can build trust through different experiences that will arise during the team’s tenure together.     From June 2005 to September 2009, I served on the Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) 64, USS Carney. The USS Carney has approximately 300 sailors and officers.
