Creative Writing: Joining The Army

"Now Dalton," The military commander said I know you want to be in son, but I can not have you join the military in this condition."
"Come on commander, I have been trying to get a job and I've really work hard for this," Dalton replied.
"I'm sorry Dalton, but until you become strong like our men, we will not assign you to the military," the commander explained.
"But-" Dalton said sobbing inside for not saying it.
"No buts," said the commander.
As Dalton walked away he felt like he was pushed into a hole of depression, trying to figure up a way to join the military. Dalton walked down the street (patting his pocket-knife for security) to go see his drunk friend.

"Good to have a friend that seems to care," Dalton explained "and look, I know that you got kicked and all, but it would really help me if you can be a little more supportive."
"Fine, why did they not accept you?" Johnny questioned.

Dalton always liked the pocket knife as he looked at it through the window of the market as a child. He liked the pocket knife so much that he tried to steal it but did not get far as a young military officer named Easton grabbed him by the shoulders and taught him the biggest lesson of his life. Easton was the one who bought the pocket knife for Dalton as a child, so that is why Dalton admires Easton and the pocketknife.
