Condors are a type of vulture. This means they're scavengers. California candors are almost extinct. Causes of disease, sicknesses, poisoning. Condors are being lead poisoned. They are eating carcasses containing lead, that lead passes onto them. PCB's DDT are toxic which harm marine species, like sea lions which costal condors will end up eating. It passes to them causing their egg shells to be thin breaking easily. Condors are constantly watched for their safety. Field checkups are procedure. Also is veterinary care. Chicks are given
