Concealed Guns Research Paper
Concealed Guns Carrying a concealed gun reduces murder and other types of crimes. If everyone was to carry a concealed gun there would be more fights because people would think that they were cool because they carry a gun at all times. People should carry a concealed gun because they would be able to defend themselves when in a fight. Adults should be able to carry a concealed gun with a license. If people are granted a concealed weapons license, the crime rate will decrease. More than just murder would decrease. Concealed guns reduced murder, rapes, aggravated assaults, and robbery. One reason for this is because criminals would feel scared because they wouldn’t know who is carrying a concealed gun. The Second amendment also plays a part

According to a State Representative of Florida; Matt Gaetz. In the states that do not allow open carry violent crimes are twenty-three percent higher. These violent crimes defined by federal officials as: murder, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault. There is no direct proof that open carry caused the decrease in crime, but it is proof that the open carry law does not increase the rate of crime. Open carry has time to change and improve and I hope to see it save many lives in the future. So as of now I am a stout enthusiast of Open…

The article, "Supreme Court Declines to Hear Case on Concealed Gun Restrictions" is about a case that was declined by the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday. The case, Peruta v. California, argues the good cause requirement in order for residents to be able to applying for a license to carry a concealed weapon infringes on Second Amendment rights. This mean the U.S Supreme Court was presented with a case about the Second Amendment and dismissed the court without hearing it. I believe the U.S Supreme Court should’ve listen to the case and not just this case, but every case. If someone is filing a lawsuit it’s because they was concerned about a certain topic. Therefore, their problem should be solved.…

Across the United States, conceal and carry is a law that allows a trained licensed owner to possess a weapon for protection in times of desperation. In this generation, school employees should be allowed to conceal and carry, because the potential dangers that schools face could be stopped in a moment’s notice to protect all from harm. An attempt to stop a mass attack is more helpful than ignoring the fact lives are at risk.…

Nearly eleven million Americans have their concealed or unconcealed carry permits within the United States. I believe that unconcealed (open) carrying of weapons or concealed carry of a firearm is a law that should not be infringed. I believe this to be true because the right to carry a firearm concealed or not is guaranteed by the 2nd amendment. Many advantages come with openly carrying or concealing a firearm on your person when out in public. For example carrying a firearm can be a deterrent for violent crimes or activities, prevent spree shootings, protect yourself, your family, and even other members of society who cannot always rely on law enforcement.…

There are very strong opinions on both sides of the argument; is the Conceal Carry Law going to be helpful or harmful? Many people believe that having the right to carry a conceal weapon is supportive. According to a 2000 study by John Lott, PhD, "shall-issue" laws have reduced homicides by 8.5%, aggravated assaults by 7%, and rapes by 5%, and robberies by 3%. They believe that criminals like unarmed victims, and that if a criminal thinks that a victim may have a weapon on them they may think twice about attacking. It also puts more control into the hands of the law-abiding citizens, instead of the criminals, who have the most of the control when carrying a weapon illegally. People can protect their families when in danger, because law enforcement is not always…

Carrying a weapon may make you feel brave, powerful but in other way it puts you at risk. You might think that if you carry a gun then you might feel safe but do you ever think how people feel who is around you. It is really pathetic to think that nowadays humans are taking human’s life. “In 1994, 46 percent of respondents chose protection as the primary reason to own a gun. Two decades later, 63 percent of respondents made that selection”(Griggs, Turkewitz). People believe that they are no longer as safe as they were two decades ago and that is the reason for the increase in gun protection. Because of the violence seen today, many have decided that to just own a gun is not necessarily enough, but to conceal and carry a gun is of vital importance. To be allowed to have a conceal and carry permit any person must be 21 years or older and pass state and federal background checks, while also having to be fingerprinted. Conceal and carry isn't allowed on many school campuses and the campuses do not take into account if the person…

On the contrary, opponents of gun-control laws claim that it is useless to prevent violence by regulating guns. In fact, law-abiding citizens are already permitted to carry concealed weapons in forty states with gun crimes rate remaining the same (Wright). In my opinion, with guns thousands of citizens could save their lives. Just like Jessica, they gain courage because guns are available to them when emergencies occur.…

On Friday, December 14 there was a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. A man shot an entrance into the school, through the front office and then continued toward the classrooms. He walked into a Kindergarten classroom of 14 innocent 4 and 5 students and a substitute teacher, in which he shot all of them. He continued toward a first grade classroom in which he shot the teacher and six of the students. This is all could have been stopped if a citizen with a Concealed Carry Permit, CCP, was near during the incident. A school isn't allowed to have guns on campus and that makes it all the bit more easy for a shooter to walk in and not be stopped. Concealed weapons should be legal in all states because it is a right of the US citizen, can stop…

The first benefit of making guns illegal is that the number of accidental shootings would decrease. Before, just since the killing in Tucson, 320 Americans have been killed by guns. Everyday, about 80 people die from guns or severely injured. However, if the country makes guns illegal then the number of people dying by gunfire would decrease. Also, not just homicide, suicide rates are higher in stages with more guns. This is because there are more gun suicides. People think it is the easiest way to commit suicide by using guns. If the state bans using guns, the probability of gun suicides will decrease.…
