Statement of Purpose for Computer Science

As it’s a well-known saying that some memories never fade away and the same happened with me.I remember this anecdote when I was in 6th Grade the first time I actually used laptop off course for playing games but apart from just playing games this 15 inch portable machine totally fascinated me. This incident not only instigated my penchant towards computers but also augmented the curiosity inside me as I grew older and untangled the mysterious concepts of this enigmatic stream. This eternal spark led me to opt for Computer Science after my 12th Grade and I was fortunate enough to be a part of Bhilai Institute of Technology,Durg where I got …show more content…
In this new chapter I further enhanced my arsenal of programming languages when I got trained in PeopleSoft an ERP product of Oracle and started working as Peoplesoft Technical Consultant. After 3 months of rigorous peoplesoft technical training in January 2011 I was deployed to an on-going implementation project of Peoplesoft Campus Solutions in one of the most prestigious schools of India i.e. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi(IITD).During my 1st tenure starting from Jan 2011-Nov2011 at IITD I learnt the basic technical concepts of Peoplesoft (Peoplecode,Application Engine,Component Interface etc. ) coupled with a glimpse of various functional phases of SDLC.During this tenure I simultaneously explored another product of Peoplesoft i.e. EnterPrise Portal 9.0 completely on my own.I further took my professional learning curve to next stage when I went to another client of WIPRO and one of the most prestigious college of India Birta Institute of Technology (BITS Pilani) to implement features of Enterprise Portal like Single Sign On,Pagelets etc. that I explored in IITD. After 4 months of implementation I came back for my 2nd tenure at IITD to explore not only the technical tools like Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) and XML Publisher reports but also got a chance to work functionally and interact with esteemed clients of IITD especially honourable Director of IITD. Being a part of high demanding implementation project for 2 long years and with the inherent passion to explore new dimensions I decided to move

    From an early age, I've been deeply fascinated by computing. I was first introduced to this gadget, my 30 pounds Pentium 1, by my dad when I was just nine. However, I wanted to go beyond merely learning to play simple games. It was then that I set for myself the goal that I would teach myself everything and anything about computers and how they were configured Although I formally started studying computer sciences when I was in high school, I began my informal studies when I was merely 12 . However, I had always been fascinated by numbers and was naturally apt at performing computations in my head. As such, I found the laws and computations performed in science very logical and as such pursued physics and chemistry during these years. This further chiseled my analytical and evaluation skills. Although I have grown older, my interest in computers and computing has not faded I have never allowed it to be restricted to classrooms and school life. In the last 15 months, I have self-taught myself to create my own browser using Visual Basic. I have also been learning Java and Python and have managed to create automated testing frameworks while building a lot of other internal tools.
