Comparing The UFC And World Wrestling Entertainment
Sports entertainment is a huge part of American culture today. Two of the most popular events are the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The UFC and the WWE, two industries geared towards the same thing but different nonetheless. The UFC is a no-holds barred competition to see who is the better fighter, whereas the WWE is strictly for entertainment purposes. However you look at it, either sport can be entertaining and dangerous at the same time. There is no doubt whether or not a UFC match is staged, whereas there is no doubt a match in the WWE definitely is.
In the UFC, all the matches are chosen by both fighters who have a common goal in mind and that is to win their respective weight’s championship

    Wrestling is tough, it is a sport much from its participants, but if one has the courage to step out on the mat dressed in a uniform that leaves a little imagination and challenge another human to a match to see who the better man is. Danger can be found in every sport, and wrestling are no more prone to injury’s to soccer, football, track stars, lacrosse. Wrestling creates a sense of accountable for one’s actions. It takes a great deal of mental toughness and sacrifice nights with friends for extra practice and consideration, favorite food to lose the extra pound, and sleep when one needs to wake up at 4am to go for a run before school begins. That competitive nature of clashing with another human being creates a sense of community within the wrestling world. Those that have never participated in the sport have a tough time understanding this. Opponents’ must shake hands before and after, showing respect for the other fighter, win or lose.     Before the day of the fight Bob Fitzsimmons and Tom Sharkey were going to face off to claim the world heavyweight title. The only problem was that J.J. Groom and John Gibbs, the promoters of the scheduled fight, did not have a referee. Fitzsimmons’ manager was afraid that a fixed fight was in order, thus he refused every referee suggested by J.J.
