Contrasting Cinematic Experiences

To see or not to see? That is a question that many Americans ask themselves quite often. Whether you want to get caught up in a dramatic plot full of twists and turns, or be scared half to death by a horror flick, movies are a great way to escape reality for a few hours and just become lost in an immersive multimedia.

Going to a theater can be an amazing experience. The smell of the popcorn, as well as the excitement of others, gives you a rush of anticipation. Will this movie suck? Will this movie be awesome? These are questions that run through your mind as you sit down. The big screen, and ultra-loud surround sound, bring the movie to life and give you a real immersive experience. You almost feel as if you are experiencing the ups and downs of each of the films’ characters. As I stated previously, going out to a theater to watch a movie can be an amazing experience,

Watching a film on TV is better than watching in theaters this how I’m going to prove my comparisons. It's annoying when you hear from friends what happens in the movie and it ruins the whole thing. It just isn't the same! There is something to be said for big screen viewing; however, the home provides a comfortable, intimate, and common place for families to enjoy classic or newly released movies. Choosing to watch a movie at home is comfortable, inexpensive among all ages. Watching a movie at home is convenient and cost less instead of going to the theater and spending as much money.…

Another point is that once you get into the cinema, you are greeted with the sight of scratchy, small seats that seem to be teasing you, saying 'oh aren't you happy you decided to get these seats instead of paying an extra fiver for the big, comfortable, leather vip seats; enjoy the movie, if you can concentrate that is whilst you have a constant itch on your back'. In addition to the miniature seats, there are also the very limited arm rests and whilst you were taking your time getting into your seat and getting settled, the two people either side of you have decided to take advantage of you not being there and taken up both arm rests- leaving you even more cramped then you were…
