Barb Cedergren and Jade Strick both love children and they both help children everyday. Barb is the owner of Barb's Centre for Dance in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Jade is a volunteer for the Wisconsin Miss Amazing Pageant. Barb got inspired to start Barb’s Centre for Dance because of her love and passion for dance and children. Her life has changed because instead of teaching all of the classes herself, she now manages a staff of forty between two locations. Barb's mom inspired her because she always told her positive things. Barb made a difference in many people’s lives through Barb’s Centre for Dance annual holiday shows with donations to local charities. She has raised over $245,000. She also helps dancers build self-esteem, character, and self-confidence. Barb would rather give than receive! Barb’s biggest accomplishment is being in business for 32 years. Jade competed in a pageant when she was 16 years old and it changed her life. Before the pageant, she was shy and introverted. Pageants helped her become outgoing and confident. Jade contacted the Miss Amazing Organization and asked if she could volunteer. It did not exist in Wisconsin, but Jade was given the opportunity to start it. She said yes, only because of the pageant that she competed in. Jade’s life has changed by Miss Amazing being her passion. It made an impact in her life and many others. Jade’s parents inspired her because they were always supportive. She made a difference by giving girls with disabilities a chance to be more confident and to be themselves.
