Compare And Contrast Autism Spectrum Disorder And Autism
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and autism are both general terms for the ones with neurodevelopmental disorder. These disorders are classified by having troubles in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication, stereo-type and repetitive behaviors.
At the age of 2 to 3 years old, the signs and symptoms of autism are visible. However some of them are just developing at their own pace. Both children and adults that has autism, shows difficulties when it comes to communicating, socializing, interacting with other. Some of them wants to be alone.
Autistic disorder, Asperger’s disorder, and Rett’s Syndrome are well-known common types of autism. According to Leo Kanner (1943), he named the syndrome called the Kanner’s Syndrome

However, it is not clear whether this is due to better detection and reporting or is it a real increase in the number of cases of children with autism spectrum disorder.     As I began reading the articles on autism I knew that I did not know much about this disorder and who were the most affected by it. Early signs of Autism may appear in the first months of life, and children with autism do not reach maturation as fast as normal children. One of the most common signs is that a normal child will point to objects or smile when seeing their mother before the end of their first year.
