Columbine High School Case Study
The module 2 assignments I will be analyzing administrators’ communications during actual school event. The school crisis I decided to research on specific incident of campus shooting and investigate how administrators responded is Columbine High School in 1999. I will talk about what happen on the horrific tragedies date of April 20, 1999 at 11:19 a.m. in Columbine, Colorado at Columbine High School. Upon my selection, I will be describing the nature and quality of the administrator's initial communication to the crisis. Then, I will describe the nature and quality of how the administrators handled and responded to the aftermath of the crisis.
On the horrific tragedies date of April 20, 1999 at 11:19 a.m. in Columbine, Colorado teenagers, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris packed their backpacks with guns and ammunition and headed to their school, Columbine High School. The boys stormed the west side of the school and began shooting students. By the time it was over, 12 students and one teacher was killed and 25 others were injured.
