College Student Philosophy Analysis
We step into an argument between three college students with differing views on philosophy. What follows is that discussion in all its glory with the constituent college student fanaticism and naiveté.

T: No I simply say that there is no point in being concerned about the affairs of the state, the rituals and the bureaucracy is too much effort. I find myself thinking that the people do need some governance but must also have some freedom to do as they would. The law may apply to everyone equally but the point of life is not to benefit the state. The king also has some responsibility to his subjects. Great social harmony results from everyone knowing his or her place in life and playing his or her part well. "There is government when the prince is a prince, the minister is a minister, when the father is a father and the son is a son. " Parents have duties to their children they must look after and teach them and look out for them. Children must revere and give service to their parents. If the king asks for some from the people he is ok as long as it is within the confines of these duties and he is fulfilling his duties to his people.
T: But these people do not owe anyone anything but to follow the way. The way gives us a path to follow which allows us to go forth without worry. We must empty our minds and soul and meditate to find the truth. Parents should only ask of their children that they follow the way. Children owe nothing to their parents except to follow the way. When people "owe" everyone else something then no one is free. The state must take these large roles in our lives and we are forced to deal with bigger and bigger groups.
