College Admissions Essay: My Dad As A Role Model
My dad has been my role model ever since I can remember. He has taught so much but the most is to work hard. It is not really always by his words but more by his actions. Seeing him get up at five in the morning and go to work. Then when he was done he would go do a side job for 4-5 more hours and come home and spend time with us for a few hours and go to bed and do the same thing again the next day. See him do this for so long really taught me that if you work hard in life than you can achieve anything you want. My career path really was persuaded by my dad's showings of hard work. At first I wanted to be a physical education teacher for so long. For the fact that I love sports and really like to be around them. But then i kinda realized that doing that might be fun now but eventually it would get boring. So I chose a harder path that would push me and work hard. Say that 100 people go to Bud/s only about 6 people that go into it will come out a Navy Seal and earn your trident. The training in all to become a Navy Seal is around three and a half years. Bud/s is only about six months of that but the hardest part of training to become a Navy Seal. There are three phases in Bud/s the first one is mentally the hardest with having to push yourself to your limits every time you do something or you could be kicked out. The hardest part is a five and half day period where you only get about a hour of sleep a night and have strenuous training for 20 hours a day. That part of Bud/s is where most people will quit and not become a Navy Seal. That's why I want to become a Navy Seal is to push myself to myself to near death but come back a better
