Ben is helping his parents move to a new home. He picks up a heavy box and twists his back. He decides to ignore it and save the money, and doesn’t want to go through surgery for it. Ben decides to call his local chiropractor, Dr. Barrett Parker. To become a successful chiropractor, you must have the correct training and a great education. To become one of these importnant doctors, you must go through strenuous amounts of educational practices and training. People who want to become a chiropractor must complete general college level studies and in some states must get a bachelor's degree. To become an official chiropractor you must get a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a state license that typically takes 3-4 years to complete. Also, chiropractors must pass the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. New York Chiropractic college has one of the best chiropractic courses in the country. The campus is located near Cayuga lake and is 286 acres. The course is 10 trimesters long, which is about 4 years and 3 months. Every 2 trimesters cost roughly $32,000 with tuition, room and board, and once you get to the 7th and 8th trimesters, those cost roughly $33,000 and it is off-campus. To graduate, it takes 4 years of pre-med. undergraduate college education including biology, etc.. During the first 2 years of most chiropractic programs you spend most of your time in the classroom or the laboratory. The last 2 years the students focus on course in spinal adjustments. The campus is fitted with exceptional dining halls, a huge gym, an olympic size swimming pool, and it is minutes down the road from a 100 store outlet mall. The gym facility has a large and well-equipped health center with 4 basketball courts, aerobics room, driving range, and two multipurpose athletic fields. While at college, the community is filled up with aspiring doctors, working as hard as they can to get their dream job.
