Since my parents got divorce, so I was brought up by my grandparents. My grandparents, having evacuated from main land China, decided to settle down in Thailand because they were affected from World War II. I was surrounded with Chinese cultural Chinese language. As a result, I did not familiar with Thai custom, making friends was not easy for me. However my study was outstanding.

My grandmother said “The most precious things that I could give to you are education, so you must pay high attention to it". Consequently I had been gotten good grades since I was in grade1 and she was so proud of me. One day my family moved resident to new town. I had to start grade 2 at new school as well. The new school was quite small. There were only pupils not more than 200 ones. Although it was not the best school in that area, it is the terrific thing I had gotten in that time. The beginning of first semester studying life was still normally. I could not get along well with other students. I was good at solving the mathematics problems. No doubt, I were crowned with my friends as well as I was an instructor. I taught them how to solve it. I got wonderful friendship in return. I went back home and told this story to my grandmother. Unexpectedly, she suggested that if my friends asked me again, I should ask them to consult with teacher. I followed this advice seriously.

My friends called me selfish girl. Most friends did not want to play with me any more. I felt lonely, unhappily, and sadly. I looked like absent-minded and became lifeless eventually. I kept unkind-hearted until grade 6. One day my grand mother stayed with my relative one month. I changed my mind. I allowed my friend to copy homework and report. Moreover I

When I had questions on homework, I visited subject teachers more than three times a day, but they were never annoyed by me. From kindergarten to my freshman year of highschool, all I did was keep my nose in the books or eyes on the computer screen. Going to a public school forced this competition on me; the only way to stand out and prove myself was by getting good grades. In order to get good grades meant doing homework, studying, and acing the tests. I didn’t have many friends, and even when I was around them, I didn’t talk much but they were always my silent support system. Those were the expectations and characteristics of getting a good education for me for the longest time.…

I walked in with a small smile and immediately tried to start conversations, however nothing was doing it. I thought of all my funniest jokes and recited them one after another, but no one would laugh. I felt more and more like an outsider as the day carried on until I reunited with my only friend. We talked the whole english class and both explained the problems that we were having. “What do we do to make friends?” we both thought to ourselves. We decided to abandon the question and just forget about. The end of the day seemed so far away even though we only had two classes left. I then thought to myself one last time what my mom had told me the first day, “Go out and be yourself. Also, try to make some friends.” I then continued to pursue making friends, and sure enough my luck began to change. I made multiple friends in a short duration of time just because of one thing, which was me being myself. After my last class I walked out with something that felt memorable or special, that something was pride. I had finally made some…

My biggest enthusiast was always my grandmother. Before my parents knew report cards were imminent, my phone was already ringing vigorously. She always made sure I was on the precise track and she allowed me to never set my standards stumpy and shoot for the stars.…

It started when I saw a student standing and looking at me well, I think he’s not a normal student who’s have freedom to play, to talk to someone, to eat during recess time or not even to study during examination days. Because me, yes I am; only one in the school can see him standing and staring at me. At the first place I thought everybody can see him. So I’m fearless to go near to him or even to talk to him. Life in fifth grade at Susie E. Tolbert was very challenging, and to make it tougher I didn’t have very many friends. I was very shy and scared to go talk to people to make friends. At lunch one day a girl came to talk to me, and I quickly gathered my things and sprinted out of the cafeteria! The ones who were my friends were not true, and were their only there because of my materialistic things. I was very introverted and scared to go talk to people, and make new friends. In Language Arts, Paideia Seminars were my least favorite because I would always get zeros, I would never talk in the discussion and teachers never pushed me to succeed. My teachers didn’t really care about me either; they never urged me to answer questions and left me alone to be that one lonely kid. Going to James Weldon Johnson Middle School was about to be the biggest challenge in my life, and I still wouldn’t have any friends to help me through the struggle.…

I was excited to take part in camping because it was the first time I have been camping. Five my classmates and I were assigned to cook. This made me worried and I wondered if I could do because every thing was done by my mother at home. We were cooking while our form teacher was guiding my classmates to build up the tent and take part in games which the school held. We both cooked and talked happily. Suddenly, one of my classmates shouted “terrible, terrible”. I asked her what happened, she told me that the soup was too salty to eat so everybody looked worried because it was going to lunch time but the most important thing was that we were afraid of our teacher’s complaint. Observing every thing around the place where we cooked, I saw some eggs in the basket. I immediately put the eggs into the soup therefore the problem was solved.
