Character Analysis Of Amari In Copper Sun
Copper Sun is a novel by Sharon M. Draper about 15 year old Amari, whose village was taken over so she has to cope with the fact that her family is now gone. She also has to deal with the fact that she is being taken away from her true love. Throughout the story Amari displays many emotion, two major emotions are loneliness and bravery. Amari becomes very lonely when the fact that her parents and brother are dead becomes a reality. She still has Afi, who treats her like her own. On the very rough nights Afi was there to keep Amari from being hurt or lonely. Even though she had Afi, Amari was still lonely sometimes. Just for the simple fact that she didn't have her family anymore. "How can I continue to live without my family?” When Amari is being auctioned off she knows that she is about to be alone again.
