CHAPTER 2- Activity 1

1. Bench is known for their fashionable and yet affordable wearing apparels not just for men but also for women. Ben Chan introduced their products not just in the Philippines but also in other countries. They focus on their customer's needs and wants. They are able to satisfy the different types of customers.

2. Many consumers nowadays are into fashionable yet affordable clothing/apparel. Because of this, Bench introduced their fashionable products. And since we are now in the Electronic Age, Internet gave a major contribution in advertising their products. They are into Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. for ease of giving the consumers the information they want to know about the Bench's products.

3. Ben Chan takes into consideration the number of consumers on a particular place that will patronize his products. He assessed whether there are many competitors on that place that offers clothing/apparel just like him. And also, the demand of the consumers and their capability to buy their products. He considers the price sensitivity.

Our Lady of the Pillar College-Cauayan (OLPCC) is a private educational institution in Cauayan City that has many competitors in different factors. Lower fees, quality of education, technical facilities, and laboratories are some of the things that parents/guardians are looking for before enrolling their children. Having its own competitive intelligence will greatly affect its enrollment standing in Cauayan City.
Competitive intelligence essentially means understanding and learning what's happening in the world outside your business so one can be as competitive as possible. It means learning as much as possible—as soon as possible—about one's industry in general, one's competitors, or even one's county's particular zoning rules. In short, it empowers you to anticipate and face challenges head on.
