Ceo Duties of Exxon Mobil
The chief executive officer of Exxon Mobil has many responsibilities and duties. The CEO is mainly responsible for carrying out the strategic plans and policies to keep Exxon Mobil moving forward. According to Exxon Mobil, the chief executive officer has to report to the board of directors to discuss the strategic goals of the organization and to evaluate the performance of the organization (Corporate governance guidelines). The CEO is responsible for the financial performance of the organization and achieving acceptable financial profits to the stockholders and the shareholders of Exxon Mobil. The CEO is responsible for the annual budget of the organization. The CEO is also responsible for providing strategic advice and recommendations regarding potential opportunities such as merging opportunities, acquisitions, or beneficial structure changes to the board of directors.
Some of the other duties and responsibilities are that the CEO has to create a constructive culture environment within the organization that can promote the performance and the morale of the workers and employees. The CEO is responsible for selecting effective human resources leaders and programs that can enable the organization to attract and retain talented workers and employees to achieve the most difficult strategic goals. The CEO has to establish a solid vision for the organization and to build a strong mission statement that can distinguish the organization from the other competitors in the same field. The CEO is responsible for making ethical decisions and adopting the right type of leadership. The CEO is responsible for eliminating potential operational risks and setting up the strategic goals that can achieve the growth and the advancement for the organization.
