Which aspects have you improved on during your academic and professional career so far? Which tools or values have helped you achieve this?

Looking back at myself both before the academic career and the person that I have become now, leaves me amazed how the same individual can be considerably distinct over a span of 7 years. This period has been the most inspiring time of my life and I need to give credits to the academic and professional experiences that ignited my growth. To be mentioned, I recall working at Wunderman in NYC as a highly formative step of my path. It was July 2012 and, at the end of the project I was assigned to, the group had to pitch in front of Lester Wunderman, Levi’s CMO and David Sable (Y&R Global CEO) and I was given the choice whether to present or not. This was the first time I found myself pitching in

2. How will your background, values and non work-related activities enhance the experience of other ESADE MBA students and add to the diverse culture we strive for at ESADE? (Note: The goal of this essay is to get a sense of who you are, rather than what you have accomplished) (*)
If I had to identify one constant factor able to distinguish my personal life, then it would certainly be the human centric one. Experiences in different scenarios have frequently driven me towards the role of “human relations facilitator”.
To give an illustration of what I mean, at the age of 17, I was nominated captain of my basketball team and became that one player who inspires teammates in those “down” moments during games. In the same year, I volunteered as entertainer in a resort for senior couples, and it resulted to be not as easy as I expected, but helped me understand how to loosen myself and be more sympathetic towards deeply different

Human relations are the study of group behavior for the purpose of improving interpersonal relationships, as among employees. As stated in our textbook; “human relations is building and maintaining relationships in many directions, with many kinds of people, in both good and bad working environments”. (Sharon Lund O’Neil and Elwood N. Chapman pg.4) When you think of human relations you have to think about the old sayings “Treat people the way you want to be treated” and “You can catch more bees with honey then with vinegar” So with that being said; if we work together we can get much more done by becoming one.…

There is not a single feeling greater than the one you experience when you make a positive impact on someone else’s life. Thankfully, I was able to experience that in my junior year. My high school has a program called Link Crew that is designed to help alleviate the anxiety of freshmen’s transition in to high school. When I signed up to get involved, I never realized how strongly it would affect not only my life, but also the life of everyone else who came in contact with it one way or another. Junior year was my first year involved in the program. At first, I was not sure if I would be able to handle it because it was a club that required a large time commitment. I was already involved in my advisory board, student council, and also I had been on the varsity softball team for both years prior to my junior year, along with working anywhere from three to five days a week. It was a very busy time in my life for a while, but I soon came to realize that Link Crew was completely worth it once I started seeing the effect it had on my school.…

I was involved in many service learning experiences all throughout highschool. I was on National Honors Society and we would ring bells for Salvation Army and adopt children around Christmas time. We often volunteered at schools to help watch children, while parents were receiving help in finding careers or when they were being helped in some other manner. However, my favorite service learning that I was involved in was helping coach Special Olympics. This service learning is one of the reasons I am becoming a teacher, and one of the main reasons why my focus is Special Education. I coached my team in soccer, basketball, and track. I loved every minute of it. I spent more time with those kids than I have with any other service learning combined. I coached them starting my sophomore year all the way until I left for college. It was hard leaving my team and I am upset that I cannot go back and see them more often. Service learning has made a huge impact on my life and is something that everyone should become involved with. When you find that one cause that you are passionate about helping with it can transform your life like it did…

An event I've experienced that was life changing was when I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. It was an affirmation of years of disciplined work and study to have such a prestigious honor bestowed upon me. In scouting, I developed various moral and ethical tenants that have shaped my foundation in life. Tenants like integrity, honor, reverence, faith in God, a man's role and his responsibility to his family, and a nearly innumerable quantity of experiences growing under the leadership of the Boy Scouts of America have molded me into who I am today in my very core of being. The realization of my dream to become an Eagle Scout took 11 years to obtain, so I'm no stranger to adversity or perseverance. To my memory,…

Within a day of familiarising ourselves with each other, my group and I went gorge walking which greatly differed to my daily life; the entire experience allowed me to branch out of my comfort zone and acquire a new outlook on life. As a result of this, I became more sociable and confident which strengthened my public speaking skills when presenting to a large audience. My work experience in a nursery developed my understanding of a younger age range which allowed me to become a more responsible and adaptable individual. Additionally, I helped organise and participated in Christmas events in local care homes to increase community spirit, enabling me to further improve my leadership and responsibility…
