1. Define human relations and discuss why human relations are important to every person.
Human relations are the study of group behavior for the purpose of improving interpersonal relationships, as among employees. As stated in our textbook; “human relations is building and maintaining relationships in many directions, with many kinds of people, in both good and bad working environments”. (Sharon Lund O’Neil and Elwood N. Chapman pg.4) When you think of human relations you have to think about the old sayings “Treat people the way you want to be treated” and “You can catch more bees with honey then with vinegar” So with that being said; if we work together we can get much more done by becoming one.

2. Why are positive people appreciated as well as usually being the most popular and productive?
According to our textbook; “The most popular and productive people in any work environment are usually those with the best attitudes”. (Sharon Lund O’Neil and Elwood N. Chapman pg.6)
1. They inject humor into what otherwise would be just work. Everyone misses these individuals when they are on vacation.
2. They add to the team spirit by “bonding” everyone together in a more positive and productive mood. Many are unofficial leaders greatly appreciated by supervisors.
3. These types of people also make it easier for coworkers to maintain their upbeat attitudes. A positive attitude, in turn, help coworkers maintain productivity and enhance their own careers.
3. Describe two essential human-relations responsibilities that you have as an employee.
According to our textbook; “From the moment you join an organization, you assume two responsibilities: (Sharon Lund O’Neil and Elwood N. Chapman pg.7)
1. You are expected to do a job, the best job you can do with assigned to you.
2. You are also expected to get along with all of your coworkers to the best of your ability. 4. Discuss two ways a positive attitude contributes to your personality and human
