Introduction: Meaning of CSR of UltraTech Cement Ltd
UltraTech’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy conforms to the National voluntary Guidelines on Social, Environment and Economic Responsibilities of Business released by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India in collaboration with FICCI Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence established in July 2011. The Company CSR policy was outlined in 2010.

Through their medical camps, 48,398 villages were covered for heath check ups. Those afflicted with serious ailments were taken to our company's hospitals for treatment. 42000 patients were treated in OPDs. Additional camps were setup to treat orthopedic, cardiac, skin and ENT related ailments. Total of 11474 patients were treated in the eye camps organized. Out of these 4058 patients had cataract and were provided intraocular lens, 850 people were given spectacles for better sight. Eye camps were conducted at Khor, Sambupura, Hirmi, Kotputli, Rawan, Arakkonam and Kharia Khangar. Lip plastic surgery was also organized where 25 patients were operated. 50 patients were provided with artificial limbs that enabled them to reduce their dependency on others. 3400 people were educated on HIV/AIDS ate educative programs held in Reddipalyam, Khor, Hirmi, Awarpur, Tadipatri, Jharsuguda, Kovaya, Malkhed and Jafrabad. Sessions on tuberculosis and its related problems held at Hirmi, Awarpur and Jharsuguda were attended by 2,811 persons. Over 1,62,843 children were immunized against polio and 2,019 children against tuberculosis, diphtheria, tetanus and measles. 5000 mothers participated in the immunization program. These form the Reproductive and Child Health Care program. Nutrition awareness were organized where over 2068 girls and mothers participated. More than 1000 families benefited from the sanitation
