Case Study: Dr. Archer
"So tell me Archer, why did you do it?" Said the bald man in front of the boy. It seemed like last week all over again. The man had been repeating the same question for the last month and still was not able to move the pen in his hand to jolt down any new information. The boy in front of him leaned back onto his chair. Hands shoved inside his pocket, looking at the men with an unamused expression, wondering when he was ever gonna give up. The sound of the boy tapping his feet lightly onto the ground seemed to be slowly breaking the man's patience. He had been releasing several frustrated grunts while staring impatiently at the boy. "Are you ever gonna say anything?" He wanted to, as he was getting bored of his sessions with the …show more content…
Chen calmly states as he stares at Archer. “First one is that you did it out of hatred. You were angry of how things were, and it felt like it was unfair of how shit everything is, so you decided to do it.” He continues tapping his pen onto the wooden table, his small eyes never once leaving Archer’s pale ones. But no reaction to repetitive questions.” He said as he jolts that down onto his notebook. Before he looks back at he and sighs. “Look Archer, I understands how hard this is. But you’re a great kid, you had bright future, I am sure there is an explanation to why you did it, and I just want to help.” Archer just stares at him. Blankly. “Well, I guess that’s it for today. I believe that we have been making progress. Regardless whether it’s a bad sign or a good one.” The man smiles at the boy, but Archer just shoots out of his chair, couldn’t even hold another second being in the same room as the doctor. But, before Archer leaves the room a thought suddenly crosses the doctor’s mind. “Archer?” He calls out and the boy looks back at him. “Did you… Was it even you?” He asks but the boy just started at him with an unreadable expression that may potentially be a spark of hope, just maybe. “See you next time, Doctor Chen.” Archer closes the
