Case Study: A Leader Is A Dealer In Hope
“A Leader is a Dealer in Hope” Napoleon Bonaparte.
As a law student with a vast variety of future careers, I have chosen the path of a world Leader. A world Leader simply doesn’t become a President or a politician. According to me a word leader is an individual who can stand up for the world. However, to be heard clearly to the world, I have decided on rising up to the highest I could reach in Sri Lanka which is the role of the President.
Therefore, my Case Study will be on the career plan of becoming the president of the Democratic Socialist republic of Sri Lanka, and my actions after gaining position.

Actors, Sportsmen, Beauty Queens and other public figures control the stage of politics. As a future leader, I believe that should be changed. If I pick a few well know local and international presidents, they all have a common qualification. Personalities such as Barak Obama, Mahatma Gandhi, Fidel Castro, Hillary Clinton, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Otto Von Bismarck, Nelson Mandela and even our very own President Mahinda Rajapakse, they all had that ‘Law’ Background. They were all lawyers. For a president, it’s just not math or science… its overall knowledge. Most importantly, public speaking, logical planning, diplomacy and lasting impressions are definite skills of a President. (Thefamouspeople.com, …show more content…

Glamorous infrastructure is not the only solution for this as evident in Sri Lanka, India and many other countries. (Dailymirror.lk, 2015)

The above extract proves that modern politics and presidential powers are not stable. While strong leaders build empires, the rest drag behind. I shall not try to prove the fact that Politics in SL is weak. But considering generally, man seeks power, and he abuses power. A president’s contribution towards his people is to ensure their wellbeing most importantly because it’s the people who give him his crown.

The Final Chapter of Execution. Still at the age of 17, I have nearly two decades to prepare to be a president of Sri Lanka. Once I am the President is when my objective of making the world a better place kicks in. After completing my LL.B I plan on being a practitioner and embrace social issues of the common man. Meanwhile I shall step into the stage of politics because experience matters. Experience I gain from a moot court to a murder case would be necessary because as a president there shall be no excess

In order to respond to society and the world it must begin with a decision to act in the true sense of the word leadership. There is no right or wrong model of leadership and to make a better world, society needs a variety of leadership models in place. Furthermore the group does not have to be a formal group to accomplish a common goal or shared vision. One’s essence of true leadership is embodied by a framework of values, behaviors of values, sense of purpose and impact of contributions that I as a leader can refer to as one explores different models of leadership over the course of one’s life…
