    Greif is defined as a deep mental anguish, as that arising from bereavement or being left alone, and is a normal response to loss (Matzo & Sherman, 2010). Marilyn Andrews’s grief is made up of different circumstances that have happen in a short span of her life. The first is the passing of her father to lung cancer. Marilyn and her father did not have a relationship with each other for twenty-seven years and his death left her with a lot of mixed feelings, which included hurt and anger. The second incident that occurred in her life was the passing of one of her sons, Jacob to a head- on collision with a drunk driver.
