Career Plan Building Activity: Competencies and Career Interests Profiler It is eye opening to be able to look at ourselves from the outside. There are times we try to sit and reflect on our own strengths and weaknesses internally and it is hard to do. Often we don’t know the right questions to ask ourselves or we have mental blocks that arise making it hard to visualize our thoughts. But when we can, understanding our personal competencies can help in giving us direction because we can see our strengths and weaknesses. The results of my competencies and career profiler were interesting. While some of the competencies were what I expected the job professions listed were a surprise.
