A small business I have been considering is a sole proprietorship and will sale pacific sea salt. Sea salt is naturally extracted from the ocean in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California. Many years ago, when I was a kid I went to Mexico regularly to surf the coast off Baja California. There was plenty of fish to catch and there is a way of cooking a dish called, “Ceviche” (.ehow.com… make-ceviche.html) unfortunately one time when we were many miles south of the boarder and no store in just as many miles we had no salt. We built a fire, collected sea water, and filtered it through tee shirts, then boiled it until we had a paste; then we let it dry for about 3 hours and we had our salt. That experience has stuck with me over the years and I have made it for myself, friends, and family. I have even developed a way of flavoring the salt in crystal form which holds the flavor for a long time. It tastes great, and works with whatever you put it on.
For a list of references for this idea which involve the basic process involved, marketing this type of small business and remaining a green and environmentally socially aware business:

“Although the material held in solution by the water of the Gulf of Mexico is not found in combination as salts, such as produced on evaporation, but rather in the form of ions, the basic elements and the acid radicals being separated, nevertheless it is customary and convenient to consider them as combined into the form of salts. Among these, common salt, or sodium chloride, makes up the bulk of the material, being nearly 78 percent of the total mass of salt, or over 27 mille (thousand) of the salinity (which is taken as 35 in round numbers). In the accompanying table the composition of sea water salts is given in the form of such combinations, together with the permillage of each in normal seawater, and the number of short tons in a cubic mile of sea water.”…

The business related laws in the United States intend to foster free, fair, balanced and effective business practices. Laws protecting consumers in the United States disallow unfair, deceptive and anti-competitive business practices. Despite significant legislative differences from one state to another, a major premise is that deceptive and unfair business practices are unethical and inappropriate (Cartewr, 2009). These laws constitute critical legal underpinnings for ethical business practices and fair treatment of consumers in the market (Nickels & McHugh, 2013).…

Chloride is essential for digestion and respiration. Salt also allows the body to transport nutrients and oxygen, transmit nerve impulses, move muscles, and manufacture tissues and material. The Yellow Emperors Classic of Internal Medicine, a Chinese book from the first or second century A.D., states that too much salt causes high blood pressure, which leads to strokes. (However, there are some studies that refute this, though it has been seen that those who consume more salt are not as healthy as those who do not.)…
