Brief Summary Of The Play 'Our Town'
Life is Precious
Every moment in life is precious. Whether it be small like your thirteenth birthday, or huge like your wedding day. In today’s world we seem to take theses things for granted. In the drama “Our Town”, Wilder wants the audience to realize how they need to appreciate everything in life because there will never be a second chance. We need to live life to the fullest. Eventually the time will come where we are lying on our deathbed and regretting all the things in life that we took for granted. Wilder wants us to appreciate, welcome, embrace, repeat, love, and share every ordinary day-to-day moments in life. The drama “Our Town” shows that we need to clutch on to every moment because it could very well be our last.

Every morning we are given another day to live and make new memories. We need to embrace all that God has given us. The morning sunlight should be embraced. To stand outside and feel the refreshing heat of the sun on ones face. The ability to embrace my family and friends whenever I please. The warmth that my father and mother’s hug provides when I am at my lowest. Their hugs is something I will carry with me even after they are gone. I will cherish these moments I am given to embrace.
I am sitting in the drive through of Bojangles and I have just placed my order. “That will be $10.56, please pull up to the next window” the worker said to me. I pull up to the window with the exact change in hand. As I go to hand the money to the cashier, I am told that the person in front of me has already paid for it. I feel shocked and happy that someone would do that. I choose to repeat their act of kindness. I quickly payed for the food in the vehicle behind me. A total stranger, out of the kindness of their heart, payed for my meal. This is a act that I chose to
