Since the group needed the second pearl they had to find it in a museum. They saw a giant statue of a Athena in the center of the room. The pearl was on her crown, it was too busy to take it that moment so they had to stay after hours. They used the flying shoes Luke loaned them to get it. They had it but they saw five janitors, who said to Percy, “give us the lightning bolt Percy Jackson.” He ran and they all turned into a three headed dragon. Percy dropped the pearl, he needed a distraction to be able to get it. So Annabeth started to call it names and ran. He almost got it when they breathed fire, he used the shield Luke gave him to protect himself. He used his water powers to break the fountains and splash all water on the beast. Percy cut off its heads, but he didn't know they grew back but with more. Now it had six heads! They got the pearl and ran towards the door when it was about to blow fire at them. Grover took out Medusa’s head and showed it to the beast. It turned to rock and they left. Thank goodness he was with his friends or he would have been doomed.…

Instead of simply being gifted with magic, Percy is the son of a Greek God. His friends aren’t mere mortals with spell books. They are Annabeth, the daughter of Athena, and Grover, a satyr. The section of school that hates him isn’t the old home of the series’ big evil, but the most competitive section of students, the children of the God of War, Ares. And instead of Quidditch, Percy finds himself participating in a chariot race. The world of The Lightning Thief brings Greek mythology into the modern world. Who knew that Mount Olympus was located on floor 1000 of the Empire State Building? Or that the Greek gods are responsible for the spread of Western civilization? Unbeknownst to us, we walk among monsters who scour the Earth hoping to find the children of Gods before the Gods do in order to eliminate their competition.…

Aside from my fascination with Nick’s perseverance and dedication, I was intrigued by the friendship that developed between Nick and Trent, the local bully. At first, Trent and Nick didn’t get along. In fact, Trent beat Nick up. However, as Deuker took us through their relationship we saw how they soon became good friends who were connected through the game of basketball. From this, I realized that some of the people best fit for you could be right under your nose, but they put up a façade to support their tough guy image so you don’t get a chance to get to know who they truly are.…

In The Sea of Monsters, a 13-year-old demigod Percy Jackson goes on a quest with his friend Annabeth, a daughter of Athena, and Tyson, a Cyclops, who happens to be Percy's half brother. They go to save Thalia's pine tree, which has been poisoned mysteriously , and to save Grover, Percy's best friend. In order to get the Golden Fleece, which will heal the tree, he must travel across the omious Sea of Monsters to an island guarded by the Polyphemus and his man-eating sheep, where his friend Grover is trapped. Throughout the journey, Percy, Annabeth and Tyson face many challenges, such as the Sirens, Scylla, and Hydra. During the climax of the book the trio fights with Luke, an old friend. Back at camp, since Thalia's tree is injured, the magical borders of Camp Half-Blood have been going down, allowing monsters to enter the camp. Chiron has also been suspected as a perpetrator, and replaced by the extremely antagonistic Tantalus, who was cursed to an eternal fast for serving his own children at a feast for the gods. In the end, Percy rescues Grover, defeats Polyphemus (with help from Tyson, who was thought to be dead by that time), and retrieves the Golden Fleece. Chiron is re-hired and everything seems to be perfect. When they return to camp, the camp places the Fleece on the tree. The next day, Grover awakens Percy to find out that the Golden Fleece also brought Thalia back to life. Giving Kronos another chance to control the…

Percy, being the only known child of one of the big three gods, who is still alive, is being disturb by the fact that he might be the one who will either save Olympus or totally destroy it. While in the camp, Percy meets Tyson, his half-brother who is a Cyclops. Because of Tyson’s true nature, Percy becomesa little bit shameful of him. When their camp is later attacked by a traitor of their kind, they discover that thetree which protects the camp was poisoned. In order to keep the camp safe, Annabeth Chase, the daughter of Athena, finds out an answer. She discovers that the Golden Fleece can restore the tree back to life, so the camp’s director sends the daughter of Ares, Clarisse, to look for it while Percy, together with Annabeth, Grover and Tyson, decided to look for the fleece on their own. With the help of the Graeae Sisters, they reached Washington, D.C., and are able to know the coordinates to the island where the fleece can be found. Unfortunately, Luke ordered his men to capture Grover, and they did, because satyrs are naturally drawn to the fleece, thus, looking for it will be much easier for Luke. The remaining trio, Annabeth, Percy and Tyson then meet Hermes, Luke’s father. He told them that Luke is in a cruise ship, called the Princess Andromeda, in the Atlantic Ocean. Hermes asks Percy to convince Luke to stop because it’s not yet too late. Armed with magical gifts from Hermes, the trio take a Hippocampus,a mythical creature which is a half-horse, half-fish, to follow the cruise ship.
