Ares goes back to the diner to wait for Grover, Percy, and Annabeth.Percy tell Are how much of a jerk he is.Ares kida teases them then shows them there ride to LA.There ride to LA is is an old truck with a bunch of animals in the back.The driver has no clue that they will be riding in the back of the truck with them.Someone inside the diner take a picture of Percy, and Ares.Ares then tells Percy that his mother is not dead, she is being kept held hostage, someone is using her to control percy.Percy insults Ares, but instead of flipping out he just gets on his motorcycle and leaves.Once they get in the back of the truck they see three of the saddest looking animals they have ever seen. The animals cages are a mess, and they look like no one has been treating like they should be treated. Grover is very upset about the way the animals look, Annabeth and percy try to make him feel better.They finally tell him that it will be okay and that he is …show more content…
