Biomedical Personal Statement
Since my time at secondary school I have always been very keen on the scientific subjects especially Chemistry and Biology. Topics such Haematology and Stem cell regeneration, have given me a greater understanding of the methods involved in diagnosing, analysing results from experiments, and then treating diseases accordingly. I also have a keen interest in reading scientifically based journals, as it gives me an insight into new technologies and methods used to treat diseases, and know that regenerative medicine is the future for Biomedical treatment. I hope to study in the Biomedical sciences field because I would like to pursue a degree in the medical field pertaining to the human body and ways to treat people, by applying the methods I will have gained from the degree.

Combining full time education with working part time at a export company has also been challenging. Working part time has helped me support myself, which involved helping to package electronics, tape postage labels and input sales data into a database. This has helped me experience the demands of being employed, and has helped me juggle studying and employment simultaneously. These experiences of helping others, working as a team, having an increased workload have only given me a greater insight on how it would be to become a Biomedical scientist. This has made me want to study Biomedical Sciences even more, as it would give me greater satisfaction in helping people who are suffering from bad
