Benjamin Franklin was a very successful and influential politician, postmaster, scientist, and printer. Benjamin Franklin is among one of the most important figures in American history, arguably, the history of mankind. Without Benjamin Franklin, it might be said that the world today would be extremely different. It took him an entire lifetime, however, to make that name for himself and contribute the many benefactions he had to give to the world. Starting as a child, his unique and ambitious personality showed through greatly. Fathered by a soap maker, Josiah Franklin, his family had difficulty paying for an education, especially with 16 other siblings his father provided for.
