Barack Obama And Oprah Winfrey: A True Hero

The ones that are real people not some drawn up character in a comic book series. Throughout my life I have been influenced by those real life heroes. These heroes go by the name of Barack Obama, Janelle Monae and Oprah Winfrey. Janelle Monae and Oprah Winfrey, both women of color, have both influenced and empowered the lives of women around the world to look at themselves in a positive way. These heroes inspired me to keep pushing through, ignore all the negative comments and prove everyone wrong. “ I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people” -Maya Angelou. I agree with Maya Angelou’s quote because it definitely describes all the heroes in my life. They all inspire people and strive to make the world a better place for any and all people. Weather your hero is a member of your family, a first responder or the postman think about if they have this quality of helping others for the greater

Throughout history, there have been an incalculable number of heroes; that can be through reality or fictitious. From viewing the clips from this assignments and reading various articles regarding heroism, there are multiple aspects that determine exactly what a hero should be. In regards to the Spiderman video, Aunt May explains that a hero is someone that is courageous, self-sacrificing, and sets examples for others. Likewise, an article I read describes a hero as someone who is courageous, selfless, humble, patient, and caring. In my opinion, a hero is an individual who cares more about the life of others than themselves; they would do anything in their power to protect others as well as the world around them.…

The common and cliche answer amongst many people is “my mom.” Under the dictionary definition I don’t know that all of my classmates moms, including my own, are heroes.…

What is a hero? A hero to me is a person who is brave, has a bunch of courage and knows right from wrong. You don’t have to have a mask or a suit to be a hero. A hero is willing to help a person at anytime. A hero can kill their enemy with kindness. For an example I believe Jackie Robinson is an incredible, life changing hero. He had been the first African American to play in the Major League Baseball. He had played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. They played him and they had ended racial segregation.…
