Bandwagon Persuasive Essay
The bandwagon is an oversimplification based on the idea you should do what everybody else is doing. It first tries to convince the spectator that everyone is doing something, this is absolutely not true unless they try to sell breathing and heart beating. As an example, the Facebook is a very popular app, but only about 25% of the Earth’s population has an active account on it. So, it is unprovable that some advertising is telling the truth is this first moment. In sequence, the propaganda uses the idea of extrapolation of the mass thought: if many people believe it is right, it should be right, after all, it is hard everyone is wrong. Finally, the ad plays with the human desire to belong, enforcing the thought of community, not exclusion. This tool could be used in food, drinks, and entrainment commercials.

Confidence, a belief that you can do something well or succeed at something, is a characteristic everyone looks for in others to construct any type of personal or business relationship. So, it is expected it is commonly used by propagandists. It is almost impossible do not remember the guy try to buy your gold. However, not everyone fits properly in a testimonial, the person has to be someone famous and important, otherwise, there is no reason to the public to believe in her/hem. This tool has been largely applied in blogs and YouTube channels, where propagandists use the communication channel to reach a specific target market. On TV, celebrities are used to convince the public that a product is good and athletes sell products manufactured by their sponsors. The testimonial technique uses a respected person of power or a highly known celebrity to endorse a product. The purpose of the mechanism is to convince the audience that such product is good enough for the respected person then it should be fine for the average person to consume. In the Carl’s Jr. commercial, Kim Kardashian states she “enjoys eating the clean, crisp, and tasty salad.” Then the commercial goes on showing Kim Kardashian eat pieces of grilled chicken and stating “the best things in life are messy” while dropping salad dressing on herself. As I watch a high school sports event, I often wonder if people are actually betting real money on a simple game like this. I also then start to wonder if I would ever find myself betting on a sporting event. Very often, I see a commercial for a company like Fanduel, Sports Kings, or BetDSI and realize how massive of a brand that filtered sports betting is becoming. Since these websites are filtered and have very strict regulations placed on them by the government. For example, a member of these websites would have to be 18 or older, and can only place a certain amount of money on a certain amount of events. Sports betting gives people the feeling of being free, which is mostly why sports fans sign to these filtered gambling site. Even though…

90 minutes to make or break your season. The grass under your cleats when arriving at the pitch. Wind blowing through jerseys while sprinting to get the ball. The silky feel of your school colors on your sweaty skin. The thrill achieved by that one perfect kick straight into the feet of the waiting teammate right next to the goalie's box. The skill and precision that goes into one sport that the world goes crazy for. Imagine dribbling across the length of the pitch and passing the ball, waiting for that pass back to complete the two-touch the team has been practicing endlessly. The ball is coming straight at you at break-neck speed. It’s too high to stop with your feet, what do you do? You breathe, take a look at your coach who is chewing ferociously…

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore, send the homeless tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door.” Reference? America has long been the land of freedom and hope to the world, and the American military is what has kept her that way. People have forgotten how important and valuable the military is to the world that we live in. As part of the Budget Control Act of 2011, automatic sequestration calls for $1.2 trillion in lowered federal spending, with 50% coming from defense and 50% coming from non-defense budgets. If Congress cannot reach an agreement, these cuts will reduce the Department of Defense spending by about $55 billion dollars. On September 11, 2001, the United States faced a difficult time in which 3,000 lives were lost due to an attack upon the U.S. by terrorists who hijacked airplanes and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and the United States Pennsylvania! That day, 9/11, has become a day in which we remember the lives that were lost and the families who were affected by such a tragedy. We called on our military once again, and they were there to protect our country. I am against automatic sequestration towards the military and military programs for many reasons.…

Nearly 65% of children say they participate in sports to be with their friends (Statistic Brain). Sports were established so that the individual could not only exercise, but also to compete against a rival. Just as there are individual sports, there are team sports in high school. For example, the age that a child joins a basketball team has shifted from fourth grade to first grade or even kindergarten in the past decade.
