Balancing Penn Foster Studies
Balancing Penn Foster studies with work and/or family demands isn’t easy. To achieve your goals you must order them in importance to you. After that there are many skills needed to learn in order to keep up with all the tasks in life. I have learned that time management, responsibility, and determination severally affect the outcome of your goals. While going to Penn Foster you must learn to have good time management to keep your life organized. You need to evaluate what you have to do and in what order. I for one put school first, before I allow myself to go out I know I must finish my priority. After my school work is complete I then can move on to the next item on my list. Until I start working it will continue to be my family and friends. With everything in life you need to learn time management, but most importantly with school. Responsibility plays a big part in having good time management. If you’re not responsible then it doesn’t mean anything. I have learned to be responsible and keep up my school work. At times it can get hard to always put it first, but to succeed it is what I must do. I’ve found that the best and easiest way is to not put it off, to get it done as soon as I can. This way I don’t have to worry about it when I need to do something else. To be responsible you must have determination. Determination is a very important skill when trying to stay focused on school. Part of being responsible is staying on task with what needs to be done. You need determination to complete your goals and the best way to do that is don’t forget what you are working for. I always remind myself of how important, what I am working for. I know that school can be tough to maintain on top of family and friends but also I know that it plays a vital part in my objective. So staying determined in excelling in school always comes first and as long as I remember that, I can balance my life much easier. I once was told that it’s not what people will or can do for you

Over the past year, I have developed skills, such as time management and prioritization, that have helped me succeed as a student at MTSU. Additionally, completing a thesis while attending classes and working has helped me become an independent student. To explain, over the course of the entire project, I had only two deadlines, one for the proposal submission and one for thesis submission. As a result, I had to create my own deadlines for various aspects of the thesis, such as data collection and analysis.…
