Baby Project Research Paper
After doing the Baby Project, I’ve definitely understand how big of a responsibility having a child is like. I also want to thank my parents for being extremely responsible and caring for me. It has been difficult trying to hold my books and my iPad, having my backpack on, and also carrying the baby at the same time. During classes I also had to make room on my desk or put things elsewhere so I can put the baby somewhere safe. I also had to wash the baby clothes because it gets dirty really easily. It’s definitely been a wild experience.
When I grow up, I would like to go to graduate school before having a child. I would also first need to have a job so I am able to provide for many expenses in my family. If my spouse have a steady income, I would like to consider becoming a stay-at home mother. I would love to homeschool my child so they can not only learn at a pace they are comfortable with but also have time to explore their own interests. When raising my own child, I would love to incorporate both styles. As I was growing up, my mom made me go back to Shanghai because the education system was simply too easy at the time. But I’ve come to realize that the kids in the Western society has a higher self esteem and is much more confident. I would definitely teach my kids a lot of knowledge and have them interact with different people to see what the whole society is like. In my Western families, there is a sense of “soft love” given to the child; however, in Eastern families, there is “hard love.” Soft love is when the child is given praise and encouragement and lots of nurturing, but I definitely see the importance of hard love. A child is being criticized so they would improve and not make the same mistake. A combination of both would definitely benefit the
