Personal Narrative: Becoming A Successful Adult
What’s next
The time to become a successful adult is ticking down fast. The choices I make now will only affect me of what I want to accomplish in life, although I know it's going to be a long ride. Before I start talking about what I want in the far future I need to set short term goals before long term. Such as graduating from Ramona High School. Not only do I yearn for a high G.P.A, such as a 3.5, but I also desire to walk across the stage with my head up high knowing that I did all that I could bring forth academically advanced. Besides my academic goals, I have other goals before finishing high school. An example is finishing with a winning record on the football team I’m playing on. Currently we have winning record of 3 wins 1 lose.

My short term goals include getting my Capstone Diploma, maintaining good grades in my academics, striving for success, and graduating high school. Striving for success is essential as well as graduating high school, but I feel like they are less daunting than the other two short term goals I have. Getting my Capstone Diploma will be a challenging road. It is not easy to achieve what the College Board requires for in that class, but I know that both the teacher and my determination will guide me through in order to accomplish my goal. And as for maintaining good grades in my academics I will have to turn in everything on time and study the material given in the course in order to grasp my goal. For long term goals I want to become a successful electrical and computer engineer. I know this goal will not be easy, but I feel like I have the determination and confidence that it takes to reach my…

My whole life I have been a leader, the rule maker, the boss, a take charge and a "get stuff done" type of person. These qualities I attribute to being the oldest sibling, raised by a strong mother, and a stepfather determined to raise another man’s child as best he could. I thrive in situations where I can have control and can help guide a team or myself to the best possible outcome. I apply these characteristics to nearly every aspect of my life, sometimes to a fault. After dropping out of college eight years previously, to follow my dreams of being a makeup artist, I woke up one day and decided my life need a change. Not completing school had always weighed on me over the years like an unfinished task needing to be done. So, why now, what changed? My outlook on life shifted after meeting a special little boy named Jackson.…

Personally I adopted some general aims. These are studies, work and family. I am aware of the fact that my future plans are not original, but for me are a base on which I will try to settle my life. I expect my degree to give me a well-paid, satisfying and interesting job, but I would like to emphasize that money isn't all I'm looking forward. In my opinion the most essential part of human's life is family. It should be a springboard from ordinary and common problems and complications. I hope I would find support and understanding in my family.…
