Assignment 11: What I Learned In Myself
Assignment 11
GS100 / Tanya Strausas
Date: 06/06/13

What I learned in this class is that I control my future, not anyone else but me. I learned

how my brain works and stores my truths and habits from the Conscious to the Subconscious to

the Creative Subconscious. I learned how to empower myself with positive self talk. I also

learned how to rebuild my self-esteem and have more confidence in myself. I really liked this

class because it opened up my eyes to the future I always wanted and now I know how to

achieve it.

My first principal is Read the words, See the pictures, Feel the emotions welling up

inside you. This principle spoke volumes to me because I now know the importance of setting a

goal and actually

I know now that

affirmations are important to my success in the future. I understood that I am giving my mind the

ideas that I want to create for my future. I also learned that all meaningful and lasting change

starts on the inside and then works its way out.

My second principle is Our comfort zones regulate our effectiveness. This is another

principle that means a lot to me. I have learned that I have set comfort zones for myself that I

did not even realize I had. I have learned that it is important for me to step out of my comfort

zone in order to grow as person. I know now that when I allow myself out of my comfort zone

my subconscious tells me to go back to what I am familiar with. I am teaching myself to be

comfortable with what is not familier.

My third principle is A vow, One statement of fact made with tremendous emotion can

Change you forever. This is a very important principle that everyone show know. I have learned

that my attitude, beliefs, and vows have interfered in my success in life. I have learned that in

my past I have allowed people to tell me who I was and what I was going to become. I

Being in this area feels exciting but the safety comfort zone is only one step behind you. A trainer or coach will bring you in this area. There is a very thin line between the person who you were and the person that you are right now. As humans, we experience millions of events that can affect and change our perspective on aspects throughout the course of our lives. Similar to caterpillars, we cannot be innocent and childish forever. There is a time for everybody to transform into something beautiful, and everybody’s time is different. Change can be good or bad, but most importantly, change helps us grow and become the people we were meant to be. How are we supposed to mature and enjoy our lives if we cannot accept the differences that life presents? For many people, metamorphosing is difficult because sometimes it can be a challenge to let go of something that was always a part of ourselves, such as letting go of a teddy bear, or a blanket, but for other people, it can be almost instantaneous.…

A famous basketball player once stated, "In order to become better, you must push yourself to do the things you could not do yesterday." This quote supports many different aspects of life. Once one thing is mastered, you must keep going in order to grow and improve. In order to grow in intelligence, talent, and in life in general, you must go out of your comfort zone. For example, Kindergarten is the first big step a student takes to learning. In this grade, I began learning the alphabet and small numbers. Just six years later, I started putting letters and numbers together in basic algebra. If I had stopped learning after completing the alphabet, I would not have made in very far. Instead, I went beyond the what now seems like…
