Arts and Entertainment
ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT:

Art is that three-letter word which encompasses literally everything around us. The world we live in and everything in it that spells beauty, creativity and innovation, is a piece of art. The world itself is God's creation, a piece of His art. We human beings, and everything 'living' are God's masterpieces, His works of art. And then there are miracles man created... his works of art. Forms of art are many...music, dance, drama, painting, pottery... and the list just goes on. Arts give us huge entertainment. Entertainment is something that holds the attention and interest of an audience, or gives pleasure and delight. It can be an idea or a task, but is more likely to be one of the activities or events that have developed over thousands of years specifically for the purpose of keeping an audience's attention. Although people's attention is held by different things, because individuals have different preferences in entertainment, most forms are recognizable and familiar. Storytelling, music, drama, dance, and different kinds of performance exist in all cultures, were supported in royal courts, developed into sophisticated forms and over time became available to all citizens. The process has been accelerated in modern times by an entertainment industry which records and sells entertainment products. Entertainment evolves and can be adapted to suit any scale, ranging from an individual who chooses a private entertainment from a now enormous array of pre-recorded products; to a banquet adapted for two; to any size or type of party, with appropriate music and dance; to performances intended for thousands; and even for a global audience.

CONCERT TICKETS:

A concert is a live performance (typically of music) before an audience. The performance may be by a single musician, sometimes then called a recital, or by a musical ensemble, such as an orchestra, a choir, or a musical band. Concerts are held in a wide variety and size of settings, from

Art is defined as the “expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.” Another quality of art is that it is universal. Art can be found in various places all over the world, and it creates an interest to look into the different skills that artists from all over the world have. For example, Japanese artists like Hokusai show their skills by portraying their art in ancient poetry and also by intricate designs with ink on paper.…

What is art? Although it is a drawn out cliché, the issue must be addressed. The best definition I could come up with is the combination of two definitions. Zaidel believes art attracts attention and elicits an aesthetic-related response.2 This definition is over-inclusive; if anything that attracts attention is art then is a traffic cone art? According to Haselberger, works of art are objects produced with the intention that they be aesthetically pleasing and not merely pragmatically functional.3 This definition is under inclusive, limiting art to solely be “pleasing”. Art attracts attention and elicits an aesthetic-related response but it is beyond functionality. This definition also helps to differentiate between art and tools, which are two similar but not equal things. Art is more about aesthetics while tools are more about functionality.…

What is art? Can it be defined in any single painting, or sculpture? Is it even something that can be seen, or does it have to be experienced? The term “art” is so vague that it can be applied to almost anything, really. Mostly, however, art should be that which frees our imagination. It connects our conscious with our subconscious, putting into a visual form what we feel and think. It allows us to explore our inner self and fill that urge to understand our minds and our universe. Art helps us to see beyond the ordinary, to see what is in our hearts without being blinded by reality. When an artist creates a painting, it is not to create a picture; it is to create a feeling or mood. The purpose is to convey an emotion, and, it is hoped, to make the viewer experience that same emotion. The painting is really just the final result. Pablo Picasso once said “…the thing that counts, in painting, is the intention of the artist…What counts is what one wants to do, and not what one does… In the end what was important is the intention one had.”…

We've had a fantastic eight weeks of delving into the study of the human experience. The use of art, music, literature, history, language, philosophy, and religion to document our experience in the world is something man has always done, and it's something we still do today. Understanding our human experience allows us to feel connected to those that came before us and those that are yet to come. As we've learned about the meaning, history, societal roles, and disciplines of each art form we've come to realize that they are connected because of our human experience, regardless of the time period, the people, or the culture, our experiences and the way we attempt to explain them connect us all. Academic and artistic contributions made throughout…

I believe that Art is very important to any society. I think that Art in whatever form portrays real daily lives of the people, or person performing it. Art shows us that what people are thinking and feeling is important, beautiful, and valid. It is a powerful and entertaining way to get someone else’s perspective on something. Art is a way for us to express our vision through many different and unique ways. No matter whom you are, or what part of the world you are in Art has a way of lifting our spirits, and making us feel good. We can be directly impacted by its power and emotion. I feel that we as humans need to confide in art because it is true, genuine, and has emotion and meaning. One piece of art can affect so many people in so many different ways. It is an outlet for communication, just not always with words. I always seem to go back to that saying; Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With art there really are no rules. You may smile, laugh, cry; you might love it or hate it. It all comes down to perception, and where art is concerned you can feel what you want. I believe that art can connect us in a way that nothing else can. Art is a true creative act that is used to express opinions and ideas that might not otherwise be able to be expressed. It can be inspiring and have a great influence on us. The costumes, lights, characters, photographs, poetry are all very entertaining. They allow us to envision ourselves in that situation. The more I think about it just about anything that makes you feel something can be considered art. The possibilities really are endless.…

Culture is all the forms of activity in a specific group of people who share traditions. It is the basis of all life. Art is how a person expresses their creativity and can take many forms. The four forms of art are the visual arts, music, literature and architecture. A visual art is anything that you can see and make observations about. The main components used to make visual arts are lines, shapes, textures, mass, form, colors, value and composition. A very common example of visual arts would be paintings. Architecture is also considered to be a form of the visual arts. Architecture is the design and construction of a structure, such as a religious monument. Next, we have literature. Literature is anything that can be read. It is divided into fiction and non-fiction, such as biographies and poetry. A good piece of literature has a plot line, establish a mood, and keep the reader’s interest all throughout the series of events. Lastly is music. Music is anything that can be heard. Music can serve many different purposes, depending on the style of music and the intended audience. For example, someone rocking a baby to sleep would want a soft, soothing type of song rather than a hard rock or metal song, where as someone who was working out would want a fast, upbeat song to keep them going. Overall, an artist strives to tell a story. Everything an artist makes is made to give out a message and it is up to us to determine what that message is. Art keeps society interesting and it changes how society sees things. Art lets us see the point of view of others and not just how we would see things. Art in all of its forms has helped form and change society and also effects how we may adapt to some things. Art and culture would not be complete with one another in our world.…
