How Does Hollywood Affect Pop Culture
Hollywood is a part of American culture therefore I believe that Hollywood indeed is very important in today’s pop culture. Many children, teens, and young adults in today’s society keep up to date with what is going on in Hollywood; when the next movie is coming out, what new songs are being played, etc. People even keep up to date with celebrities. Social media makes it possible to keep a look out on what our favorite celebrities are up to. Reality shows have also used Hollywood’s film industry as a way for average Americans to get a glimpse on how glamorous celebrities lives are, but it also shows the negative side that Hollywood glamour comes with. Take the Kardashians as an example. They are a well-known family around the world who has their own reality show. Throughout this show the audience gets to experience how the Kardashians live and all the struggles they face in Hollywood. To some, it may seem, that watching shows like Keeping Up With The Kardashians portrays Hollywood in a negative way because of all the scandals that occur. As I stated above the merge of music into the film industry has given people a new and improved form of entertainment. In movies today music is a big factor in the process of filmmaking.
