Selection and Source of Native Chicken
The experimental birds to be used is the study will be provided by (PPSM) Pagkain Para sa Masa at University of Southern Mindanao, Kabcan, North Cotobato. The birds will be randomly selected from (PPSM) Pagkain Para sa Masa. Only birds with normal health and body condition.
Identification of birds
Proper identification of birds will be done using leg bands with corresponding number and color code on it. Forty five (45) birds placed in compartment and will assigned with corresponding numbers for each treatments.
Variable measurement
Feed Intake - The feed intake and the feed refused of the experimental birds were properly recorded from the start up to the termination of the study in order to determine the exact consumption of the experimental birds.
Preparation of the poultry house
The birds will be housed made of local materials. The area will be coverd about 3-4 inch of carbonized rice hull bedding spread with IMO. The house will be sectioned using 3m nylon fish net where the experimental birds can have access to the yards for exercise. The control will have access on clean, dry, area witout litter and dry fed.
All birds had an access on clean water in water troughs.
Health and Sanitation
Strict sanitation and proper management practices will be observed throughout the
