Lives of American citizens are continuously put at risk every day by the people of our own country. Drinking and driving has generated into a social norm leaving lives at risk. Organizations have paid generous amounts of money to stop this treacherous decision made by the weak. Still, it remains apparent this irresponsible and detrimental choice will continue despite the lives affected.
Why would a human gamble an innocent life as well as theirs? Why wouldn’t someone organize a strategic plan to arrive home safely without affecting a guiltless life? Though these questions easily have answers and solutions the law for drinking and driving is continuously ignored and broken. “Every day in America, another 28 people die as a result of drunk driving crashes,” (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). This act obviously continues to be an enormous issue in America. Twenty-Eight deaths on a daily average due to drinking and driving shows people just don’t understand the impact this decision could have. Figuratively speaking, friendships have the ability to fall apart due the decision to drive while intoxicated. Perhaps the skeleton actually signifies an old friendship that was lost after countless attempts to help the alcoholic. One could only help another in need until they become an enabler. This is how a friendship could be “killed”. However, with the image used, I believe all signs point to a literal death. Drinking and driving could have an outcome of death killing a great friendship.
