The article starts with a scenario of parent teacher conference, which has been proven the possible misunderstanding, miscommunication, and a lack of knowledge and skills that block the teacher-parent relationship and the child's educational opportunities as well. The article describes a project designed to support collaboration through training for both parents and professionals. This article analyzing about what the literature says about parent teacher collaboration, what are the important laws of special education, individualized education plan (IEP) and parents’ role in those process as well. Through this article authors advocating the educators should be aware about the importance of better collaboration to lead the students to be succeed in their life. Suggesting many ways to improve the collaboration as given training to parents and educators are the most effective way to make better collaboration.
