n the article “Anxieties of Empire in Doyle’s Tales of Sherlock Homes” the author, Lauren Raheja evaluates the theme in Doyle’s stories. She mainly focuses on the topics related to nature, society and thought when comparing “The Speckled band” and “The Adventure of the Devil’s Foot”. She uses these stories to support her claims of what statement the author is trying to portray through his writing. An example of how she demonstrated this is by picking two main corporates in each story.
